Kids Read to Earn

Kids Read to Earn is a family reading platform that makes it rewarding for children to stay curious about the world.

Parents choose articles for their kids to read — from a curated library updated regularly by our team, from articles shared by other families in the community, or from articles they find and submit themselves. Claude AI automatically creates age-appropriate versions of every article for four reading levels (Ages 4–8, 9–11, 12–14, and 15+), so the same story is accessible to every child in the family.

After reading, kids answer a short quiz to earn points. Points accumulate on a family leaderboard, turning reading into friendly competition between siblings.

For parents

The platform takes the effort out of finding good reading material. Submit any article from the web with a single link, and the platform handles the rest — simplifying the language, generating quiz questions, and making it ready for your kids within minutes.

For kids

Every article is a chance to earn points and climb the leaderboard. The quizzes are short, the topics are interesting, and the reading is always pitched at just the right level.

Add to your home screen

Kids Read to Earn works as a standalone app on both iPhone and Android — no app store required. Once added to the home screen it opens full-screen, without the browser address bar, and behaves just like a native app. This also means it can be used independently of any browser time limits you may have set on your child's device.

iPhone (Safari)

  1. 1Open the app in Safari (this does not work from Chrome or other browsers on iPhone).
  2. 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen — the square with an arrow pointing upward.
  3. 3Scroll down the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. 4The name will appear as Kids Read to Earn. Tap Add in the top-right corner.

The app icon will appear on the home screen. Tapping it opens the app in full-screen without the Safari browser.

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1Open the app in Chrome.
  2. 2Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. 3Tap Add to Home screen or Install app (the wording varies by device).
  4. 4Tap Install or Add to confirm.

Chrome may show a pop-up banner at the bottom of the screen prompting you to install — you can use that instead of the menu.
